An English-speaking dentist in San José
If you are considering dental treatment in Costa Rica, what you need first is a straight answer about your own case: how many visits, how long you stay, and what happens if something needs attention once you are home.
Before you book a flight
Most disappointment with dental travel comes from a timeline nobody explained. Here is the honest version.
Send your case first
A photo, a recent X-ray if you have one, and what bothers you. We tell you what is likely involved before you commit to dates.
Some treatments need two trips
Implants in particular: placement and final crown are separated by months of healing. That wait cannot be compressed, by any clinic anywhere.
Leave room at the end
Do not fly home the morning after a procedure. A couple of spare days lets us see you again if anything needs adjusting.
Ask what happens afterwards
Ask us — and ask every clinic you consider — what they do if something needs attention once you are home. A clinic with no answer to that is telling you something.
Treatments
Each one explained in plain language. Costs are quoted in writing after an examination — anyone who prices implant work sight unseen is guessing.
Dental cleaning
Scaling and polishing. The routine visit — and the one that catches what doesn't hurt yet.
Root canal
Saves a tooth with a damaged nerve instead of extracting it.
Dental implants
Replaces a missing tooth with its own root, so nothing moves when you chew.
General dentistry
Fillings, crowns, extractions and the regular check-up.
Smile design
Whitening, veneers and composite work — planned before any tooth is touched.
Who will treat you
Dra. Raquel Brito Palmero, Dental Surgeon from the University of Costa Rica, in practice since 2008. Fellowship in Oral Implantology and a Diploma in Endodontics. More than 200 implants placed and 300 smile designs.
Registered
College of Dental Surgeons of Costa Rica
Licence 622720
Where you will be
Boulevard Rohrmoser, next to the Hilton Garden Inn — a residential district of San José, close to La Sabana park and a short drive from the international airport.
Shall we book it?
Write to us and we will tell you what is available. If you are travelling, send your dates and we will say plainly whether they are realistic.
